SMS Terms & Messaging Policy
Last updated: January 2025
1. Overview
HaulGuardr ("HaulGuardr," "we," "our," or "us") uses text messaging (SMS) solely to support driver verification and proof-of-compliance workflows. This Messaging Policy explains when SMS messages are sent, the types of messages you may receive, and how to manage your messaging preferences.
HaulGuardr does not use SMS for marketing or promotional purposes.
2. Opt-In and Consent
You may receive SMS messages from HaulGuardr under the following circumstances:
- Verification Requests: A freight broker, shipper, or carrier initiates a driver verification workflow and provides your phone number as part of that process.
- Account or Workflow Participation: You provide your phone number during account registration, verification, or operational workflows and consent to receive verification-related messages.
- One-Time Password (OTP) Requests: You request or are issued an OTP for identity verification or secure access.
By participating in a verification workflow or providing your phone number for verification purposes, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to that specific workflow.
Consent is load-specific and event-driven and does not authorize marketing communications.
3. Types of Messages Sent
HaulGuardr sends transactional SMS messages only, which may include:
- Secure verification links
- One-time passcodes (OTP)
- Reminders to complete pending verification steps for an active load
- Confirmation messages indicating completion of a verification step
All messages are directly related to an active verification request.
4. Messages We Do Not Send
HaulGuardr does not send:
- Marketing or promotional messages
- Advertising messages
- Messages unrelated to an active verification workflow
- Messages after a verification has concluded, unless a new verification is initiated
- Messages to phone numbers obtained from purchased, rented, or third-party lists
5. Message Frequency
Message frequency is event-driven and varies based on verification activity:
- Per Verification Workflow: Typically 1–3 messages (e.g., link, OTP, reminder)
- No Recurring Schedule: Messages are sent only when user action is required
- Multiple Loads: Drivers participating in multiple verifications may receive additional messages, each tied to a specific load
HaulGuardr does not send recurring or subscription-based messages.
6. Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any HaulGuardr message.
After opting out:
